Hello! My name is Luis, and I am from Mexico. Mexico is a country with an extensive border with the USA, and a great part of our international trade is made with the USA and Canada, so English is needed for these commercial activities. Our official language is Spanish. Although English is important, it is not taught in public schools, only in private schools. There are different types of private schools where you can find English classes: schools with 2-4 hours a week of English classes, bilingual schools with half day in English and half day in Spanish, or schools completely in English – these specially for foreigners such as diplomatic students living here.
