My name is Sira, and I come from Marseille, located in the southeastern part of France. In France, we start learning English in primary schools. Then, in high school, most of us study science, economics, or literature in English. France is a very touristic country, especially during summer, so English is very much needed. Also, there are several multinational companies here, and if we want to work for them, English speaking ability is strongly required. One of the main purposes of studying a language is to communicate. I believe using English is more important than just learning about it.
