My name is Megi, I am a software developer by profession in the Philippines. English is the second official language in my country. All classes in primary schools are taught in English and in Filipino, our national language. The majority of Filipinos believe that English is important, because you need good English skills to succeed in the Philippines. For instance, if you aim to work for a large company, job interviews as well as documents are all in English. For me, learning English is important because we can communicate with many people around the world in English.
