My name is Ani from Indonesia. I am a first-year graduate student in Japan. I study medicine. In most schools in Indonesia, we use Bahasa Indonesia or Indonesian as the primary language, and we start to learn English in the 4th grade of elementary schools. We have an English test at the end of each grade, and we need to pass the test to complete the grade. Recently, English has become a common requirement for every student in Indonesia, especially to find good jobs. I believe having confidence is the most important thing when we speak English.
