Hi, I am Hari from Nepal. I am a graduate student of medicine in Japan. Nepalese children start learning English at 4 or 5 years of age in private schools and at 8 or 9 years of age in public schools. In public schools, English is taught as a subject, but in private schools, all subjects except the Nepalese language are taught in English. English is used as a major working language in private companies in Nepal. My advice for Japanese English learners is to beat hesitation and try to improve four skills, namely, listening, speaking, reading and writing.
